One additional feature that we like is the ability to set the temperature. We can set it between 187 and 192. Our suggestion is you leave the temperature at the pre-set number as the whole brewing process reduces the end temperature of your coffee. The temperature of coffee in your cup is actually 10 -15 degrees lower than the brewing temperature on your LCD.

Our initial thoughts about Cuisinart SS700 single cup java machine

• Very big water reservoir - at 80 ounces has almost the double capacity of keurig b60 coffee maker
• We don't like the fact that the spoon that comes with the Cuisinart has no place for storage. The designers should think about making some upgrades with the next models. You know, if you do not attach the spoon to the machine, you can loose it very easy. That is even truer if you have small children to worry about.
• We liked the clear display icons that show the ounces and very easy to handle control panel.
• Quite Brew technology is one of our favorite features. Well if you had noisy coffee makers in the past than you now the importance of quite brew features. Great if you have small children.
• The unit comes with very easy to clean metal outer coating. For some it looks to industrial, others like it. We did as we find the ability to clean the coffee machine without hassle one of more important ones.
• Very effective brew head - the water comes through with the right speed.
• We liked the hot water option.
