Keurig b60 did surprise me

by Simon
(Atlanta)

I m reading all of the reviews of single serve coffee makers and I m quite amazed that some coffee brewers do not get higher marks as they probably deserve and some that do not deserve high marks, get not just high but strait fives.

C’mon where are the objectivity people?

That's why I will post my opinion on Keurig b60 coffee brewer I bought not long ago.

As I think of myself as a coffee snob, I like to have all of the greatest coffee and espresso equipment for my coffee time experience, plain and simple.

I already have great espresso machine, burr grinder and two French presses at my home.

Not long ago, when I was on vacation, the condominium I had been staying at, came equipped with a Keurig coffee machine and several K-cups of different blends in the cupboard.
To be frank I was not expecting much more than regular "motel room" coffee. But when I brewed myself a cup of coffee I was surprised. I can't say I had been shocked, but I was definitely impressed.

The cup of coffee was substantially better than it should have been provided the pre-packaged, pre-ground coffee.

I purchased some additional "k-cups" that day from the nearby coffee store and continued to have simple, no mess morning cups of coffee for the rest of my stay there.

At home, after the trip, I did some research into Keurig Brewers. I wound up obtaining a Keurig B60 together with several boxes of K-cup coffees from some reputable online seller.

Is the cup of Blue Mountain blend from Keurig b60 as good as from Chemix drip coffee maker?

No, but it's pretty darn good coffee!

The device operates pretty much the same as other single serve coffee brewers. I like the option of many blends I can choose from.

On this specific model you can adjust the cup size and the brew temperature, though this is really a rather narrow range.

From my experiences I get the best results in the smallest pot size with a 190 degree temp setting.
Bottled water will be required to get the best results. The bottom line is that you can easily get a great pot of coffee in less than 60 seconds (should you leave the machine on all the time). And the best part is that there is no cleaning afterwards.

It does make really great coffee and is clearly superior to most auto drip coffee machines using store bought pre ground coffee.
