Nespresso Espresso Maker Buying Guide

In our Nespresso espresso maker buying guide we wish to point out strengths and weaknesses of very popular Nespresso machines.

We will try to answer the most important question you might have: “is Nespresso machine the right one for me?”

You need to look these important factors before you know the answer to which Nespresso espresso maker is the right one for you:

  • The price
  • The drinking style and drinking needs
  • The experience

You must understand that not all Nespresso models are appropriate for all coffee drinkers!
If you have extensive brewing and grinding experiences or if you even have some barista experience, than the Nespresso espresso coffee machines are probably not for you as they offer you coffee with the push of a button.

They do not give you the satisfaction you get when you try to find the PERFECT BREW. But if you like coffee fast and without cleaning afterwards, than the Nespresso espresso machines are ideal for you as the company tried to make home espresso brewing as easy as possible even for coffee noobs.
Here there is no personal mastery needed.

The machine does practically everything. It makes a cup of coffee or espresso with a push of a button in just less than three minutes.

The Nespresso machines are designed for people, who don’t grind coffee beans themselves, set the right temperature and amount of water and especially do not like to clean all the coffee mess after the brewing is over.

If you already own an espresso machine than you know that the machine needs up to 5 or even 10 minutes just to warm up and additional few minutes to brew a cup of coffee. If you don’t want a perfect cup of morning coffee (which real espresso machines offer once you learn to operate them properly), or you do not have time to wait in the morning when you need some caffeine booster, than you should consider buying a Nespresso machine.

CoffeeInspector tip: There is absolutely no need in owning an espresso machine if we will not use it. We don’t want to have the machine on our countertop to sit and collect dust particles.

And Nespresso knows exactly all of these in-conveniences that is why they made all the home models with one purpose : they need to be easy to use and they must brew faster than the espresso machines.

The brewing is similar to Keurig coffee makers single serve units. You just insert the Nespresso pod, place a coffee cup or mug and press start.  You get fresh cup of coffee in less than two minutes.  No espresso machines can beat that time if you consider brewing from the start – or the cold machine.
